I’m new to Substack and my first search was for newsletters containing the number 7 because of my own creative experiment involving that special number - so I love the 7 senses concept that prompts your reflections - I look forward to reading more.
I love that the number 7 is what lead you to this space.. it’s a number packed with so much symbolism and myths! Glad to have you here and hope you enjoy reading upcoming issues!
At 3AM when I wake up, my imagination never goes to fantastical and beautiful possible future outcomes, it's always THE WORST POSSIBLE FUTURE EVER. lol. I try your approach tonight. ;)
It's funny / strange : I had a middle school teacher who was a very good teacher but INCREDIBLY, ALMOST PAINFULLY PRAGMATIC. One thing she told me was " you can't eat imagination " in her practical New England expat fashion, & yet she was NOT a dour, joyless person.
I have a cousin WHO IS a DOUR, pretty much JOYLESS unimaginative whitebread pretty much humorless practical person. I got my imagination & appreciation for art, music, etc. from my mother.

I love the idea that we have to know what we want before we can imagine it. So true. So necessary.
The power of visualization is real! Unfortunately we seem to spend much more time imagining the worst, rather than the best 😉
