Oh Bryan, thank you! I’m almost didn’t publish this piece as I was afraid it would be a downer.. but so glad to hear we’re all in it together 🙌

Such a thoughtful piece, Sabrina. It reminded me of Toni Morrison, and her writing about times of turmoil being the moments when “artists go to work.” Thank you for this.

Lovely piece written here … I often find myself at this very spot, questioning the worth of my expressions and their impact. I know we all share this somehow, but your reminder helped me feel less alone and more encouraged to face myself.

What also gripped me at the beginning was the sense of “home” - how can I define this feeling for myself? Thoughts that have become emphatic lately. Hmm …

Your meaningful recommendations are also a treat - I can’t wait to dive in and view each of them. Thank you 💗🙏🏽

Thanks so much Juliana 💕 I hesitated about publishing this essay because I often feel the pressure to keep a positive and hopeful outlook.. but writing it really helped me so I thought it might do the same for others. Always good to know we’re not alone on this creative and human journey. Hope you feel inspired by the sensory recommendations 💫

We understand that feeling of wanting to 'escape' and realising that there truly is none, all too well and you articulate it so well, Sabrina.

I feel like you two would understand that desire for escape more than anyone, since you’ve lived and traveled in so many places! As the wise Ram Dass would say “wherever you go, there you are.”

That's the key, Sabrina. There truly is no perfect place but almost anywhere you are can be 'home' if you let it.

Indeed! And LA isn’t such a shabby place to call home after all 😉

Oh I know these feelings…. Thank you for capturing them so well. I often think our job is to show joy just what is, but what is possible. To find the spark, the light, the curiosity. To remind people that there is more out there, more to feel, more to see, more to love. Anyway: you’re doing all of that ❤️ and thank you for the event shout out!

Dearest Varenka, you have such wisdom when it comes to creating a home where ever you go (your heart!) and welcoming others into it. I thought of you a lot actually when I was curating the sensory recommendations - I think you will enjoy them. Love you! ♥️
