Very much enjoyed this piece with all of the inspirational tidbits 🙏 I also really appreciate finding other people who can share in the experience of having read the same book or listened to a podcast. It made me smile this morning as I read, and is one of the things that consistently gives me hope for humanity in today’s world - to know others can appreciate beauty, peace, creativity. Sharing one of my favorite interviews from On Being - it’s with Craig Minowa (Cloud Cult) on Music as Medicine https://onbeing.org/programs/craig-minowa-cloud-cult-music-as-medicine/ Have a wonderful day☺️✨

Thank you so much for this beautiful recommendation! I just listened to it on my drive - I love OnBeing but I had never heard of Cloud Cult! What a profoundly moving story 🥹 the way he speaks of music also resonated with a piece I wrote a few months ago ‘Art in an Emergency’: https://sevensenses.substack.com/p/art-in-an-emergency

I fell asleep listening to your meditation last night (4 minutes, that’s impressive!) and I’m about to listen again with coffee. Thank you for all this, I am so intrigued by the idea of a daily outfit, all the time you’d save...?! 💛🙏

Nothing makes me happier than knowing my words transport you to dreamland!😴 and accompany you again in your little morning ritual ☕️🌞! And I’m also fascinated with daily uniforms - I’ve definitely gotten closer to a minimal wardrobe over the years but I’m not sure I’m ready for a single outfit 😆

This is revelatory. I think I’ve given habits a bad name because I associate them with things like checking your phone incessantly or brushing your teeth. But they really are the foundation for the more “creative” things we do.

Love the giraffe btw! 😍

Habits definitely get a bad (or boring) rep’ but they’ve been so foundational to all my creative and spiritual practices. Also, they can be fun (like drawing upside down giraffes!) 🦒🙃

So true, Sabrina and yet we embrace life and travel with the minimum of repetition as boredom is the greatest enemy of a life well lived. ‘Outliers’ to steal another Malcolm Gladwell topic- for sure 🙃

“Boredom is the greatest enemy of life” should be my motto! 😆 it’s a hard balance to strike between consistency and spontaneity!
