I’m beyond excited to invite you to the first Seven Senses experience.
Ever since launching this newsletter (September 2022), I imagined it to take form beyond the digital realm. Afterall, I write about the senses and my hope is that you not only read about them, but also experience them.
Last year, I explored the topic of color in ‘Taste the Rainbow.’ Amongst the sensory recommendations, I featured the work of French artist Sophie Calle, who created the photography series ‘Monochromatic Diet.’ She was inspired by a fictional character in Paul Auster’s novel ‘Leviathan,’ who only ate color-coordinated meals.
I loved the concept and wanted to bring it to life by creating a real color-themed dinner that would appeal to all 7 of our senses: SEE, HEAR, SMELL, TASTE, TOUCH, BALANCE and ENVISION.
After months of dedicated work and incredible collaborative effort, I’m happy to reveal that TASTING COLOR: a Seven Senses feast will take place May 25th and May 26th in Los Angeles. For this first edition, we’ll be journeying through the color Green.
Green food.
Green drinks.
Green plates.
Green decor.
Green sounds.
Green art.
Bringing together local artists, artisans and makers, TASTING COLOR is a creative medley between food, design, art, and music. The three-course menu is made by friend Chef Tracy Tober, whose cooking portfolio includes collaborations and commissions with The Food Network, Cookbook Market and chefs Sonoko Sakai, Gordon Ramsay, Lora Zarubin, and Grace Bush-Vineberg.
The food will be plated on ceramic dishes made by Salt Ceramics with special olfactory gifts by D.Grayi.
This sensorial dinner experience will be hosted in an intimate space in Los Angeles on May 25th and May 26th.
Seating is very limited and I wanted to share it first with the Seven Senses community.
Paid subscribers also receive a 20% discount (scroll to redeem code).

I hope to see (and meet) some of you at this special Seven Senses feast.
In the meantime, I wanted to offer a peek into the process of creating this dinner experience. Today’s 7 senses include testing recipes, flower market research, invite photoshoot –– and the various creative collaborations that are turning this dream into reality.
In Joy,
Sabrina
